Natalia Melo has been providing guidance with visa applications, passport renewals, powers of attorney, and many other government forms and processes since 1992.

As these processes can be difficult to understand, Natalia has prided herself in guiding her clients every step of the way.

She has assisted the Portuguese, Brazilian, and Spanish communities with many issues such as Social Security, establishing utility accounts, and translations – to name a few.

Notably, in 2001, Natalia took it upon herself to create a project in which she was determined to encourage as many Portuguese people as possible to become citizens. She started by reaching out to the Portuguese communities of Hudson, Framingham, Peabody, and Lowell, MA. Once a week, she would provide citizenship classes where she assisted in preparing applications, all for free. Through this project, she was able to guide nearly 3,000 individuals to citizenship. To this day, she continues to assist in preparing candidates for the U.S. Citizenship Test in either English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

Natalia also worked for the University of Massachusetts Lowell at the Saab Center for Portuguese Studies. In 2020, she was a proud member of the group that began the Portuguese American Digital Archive (PADA). This archive collects and preserves a wide array of materials pertaining to Portuguese history and culture.

With the success of becoming a trusted name in the community, she has established Natalia Melo Services, LLC to continue providing these services.

Natalia is not only professionally involved in her community but also socially. She is a member of the Holy Ghost Society along with other organizations in Lowell, MA, including Holy Trinity. She was also the president of the Portuguese American Bowling League for over 20 years and currently serves as vice president – right behind her sister.
